When is iPad 4 (Malaysia) Coming? Updated — Launched today in Malaysia

iPad 4

iPad 3 have been disappeared from Online Apple Store (Malaysia) so when is the iPad 4 coming?

You can still buy iPad 2 16GB WiFi and Wi-Fi + 3G version online for RM1199 and RM1599 respectively.

iPad 2 16GB Price in Malaysia

I think the reason why Apple removed iPad 3 (New iPad – Now old and discontinued iPad) from the Online Apple Store (Malaysia) is to help the local Apple premium reseller in Malaysia to finish off iPad 3 stocks before the iPad 4 arrive.

It is truly a short shelf life for iPad 3 in Malaysia which launched on April 20th this year. Come to think about it, this is the fastest upgrade ever! This is ridiculous. Just slightly over 6 months old iPad and it is now discontinued.

According to the tech pundit, powering the Apple A6X is custom Apple-designed quad-core GPU with the latest ARMv7. When you have something that is custom designed, the value of the product is simply priceless.

iPad 4 Price

As for the price, we can expect the same price as before. Apple has continued the trend for 2 years, well at least you have some indication what the price would be.

  • iPad 16GB (4th gen) Wi-Fi RM1499
  • iPad 32GB (4th gen) Wi-Fi RM1799
  • iPad 64GB (4th gen) Wi-Fi RM2099
  • iPad 16GB (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular RM1899
  • iPad 32GB (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular RM2199
  • iPad 64GB (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular RM2499

While we are waiting for the iPad 4 (which Apple sold more than three million units in three days in the US) and iPad Mini we are really eager to the release of iPhone 5, hopefully this month.

  1. Thanks for answering your own question douche. I still do not know when it’s gonna be released in Malaysia. You asked when it would be released as if you were about to offer and answer, then do not. great.

  2. Well, I would disagree with you. I have a big Apple geek as a friend, he buys everything. He went to Hong Kong and tried the iPad mini, he said the display is no problem. Not sure, if you use a retina iPad, but mine is retina and I’m sometimes annoyed, because the photos need to be very high resolution to look good, but most are not. Yeah, it’s great to zoom in text, letters are very clear, but for checking photos, I don’t like retina unless I would be a professional photographer and I would store all my pics there… So, I’m kinda happy, that the iPad mini is non retina, I think for the basic stuff like browsing internet and social media will be more than enough. But you have to see it in real and try it, I think you will make up your mind pretty quickly 🙂 I wanna buy iPad mini for Lily and iPhone 5 for myself… but still need to wait 🙁

    • I will see how it fair when I finally hold the iPad Mini. It is safe to say, if you like iPad 2 you will like iPad Mini. I like my iPad 2 and still do. 🙂

I would however expect iPad Mini to be a Retina Display because Apple will eventually sell the unit with Retina Display, why stuck with Non Retina Display? After all Apple is the world first introducing the gorgeous display on an iPhone 4, why stop now?

Your point is very relevant and I agreed with you with the contents on the web is not optimized for viewing in high PPI display. It will take more time in general for the web to fully optimize for high PPI display. I think it has to start with us 🙂 I didn’t even optimize my logo for Retina Display. Shame on me.

    • I am not sure right now. iPhone 5 is still the priority and as you may have already know, maybe not, but I think you probably know :p rumors has it, iPad Mini Retina Display is coming. I think we don’t need the rumors to tell us though, sooner or later we will see iPad Mini Retina Display.

I was having discussion with a friend the other day about iPad Mini. Interesting discussion and I think I should write about it, long story short, we are a bit annoyed by the fact Apple did not release iPad Mini Retina Display.
