It’s Gawai holiday here in Sarawak and the young parent decided to go for a short 2 days vacation with our beloved little one, Giselle. It’s our first trip as a family.
It was a really nice vacation. In fact, I was really happy because Damai Sentral makes perfect sense. It use to be very hard for visitors to look for local foods, but with the Damai Sentral present we get to eat Roti Canai, Mee Goreng, Nasi Goreng, ABC, Teh Tarik and many other delicious local food at a very local price. We are paying RM1.50 to RM6 for our foods, I am so happy.
We took 5 minutes drive to Damai Sentral from Damai Beach Resort. This is my top 3 Damai Sentral sunset photos I took yesterday.
#1 Light shines through the couple
#2 The Couple
#3 Simple Sunset

so the stone hornbill is here just as the symbol of sarawak? okey 🙂 i thought here can be a bit more. TY for the map, but cant zoom enough to find that stream, its something minor then, yet looks interesting, a waterstream going into ocean )
here’s a map https://maps.google.com.my/maps?q=Damai+Central+Kuching+Sarawak&hl=en&sll=1.601995,110.324453&sspn=0.351425,0.441513&oq=damai&hq=Damai+Central&hnear=Kuching,+Sarawak&t=m&z=10
Thanks 🙂
The sculpture bird was actually a Hornbill. Sarawak “The Land of Hornbills” thus the bird sculpture representation.
The hornbill is over looking a big ocean 🙂
beautiful lighting at sunset especially near water, is there any background history behind this stone bird? and this water stream? minor river or ? 🙂
