Samsung Anti-Apple Campaign Ads iPhone 5 is for your parent?

Samsung GS3 with NFC

The Next Big Thing is Already Here — Samsung Galaxy S3 video hitting 2.3 millions views and counting by poking fun at iPhone 5.

Few key messages in video showing why iPhone 5 is not the next big thing: the headphones jack on the bottom, new connector, iSight, bigger screen, No NFC, etc…

Apparently a young guy is saving a spot for his parent, I suppose it mean iPhone 5 is for older generation? What do you think or did I get the message wrong?

If you watch this video as a parody, it should be fun to watch.

  1. iPhone 5 for the older generation? I actually think the older generation is better off using Samsung phones cos the screen is bigger. LOL!

    • Actually I do agree with the ad that iPhone 5 is the phone for old people…Not because it sucks or whatsoever. Because of its simplicity in using most of the basic function. Android phones have a more complicated functionality and configuration to be used easily by old people. Having a bigger screen actually make things more cluttered than it should be. I believe iPhone never intended to have their users segmented. It is their intention to dominate the world’s market rather than just a specific age group. So unintentionally, this ad had helped Apple in pointing out how user friendly it is to people compared to their own device. If old people can use it, why not normal users as well. Apple’s keypad layout is cleaner and easier on the eyes.

      • I like your optimistic view. It is so true that if you give an iPhone or iPad to children, they immediately know how to use it.
