Maxis’s 64/128GB iPhone 6s/ 6s Plus Sold Out

Damn it people! Who said GST and higher exchange rate stop people from buying. As a rule of thumb, there are 5% of you who will go out and buy two weeks before official release. That’s what happen and now it’s sold out. Amazing what the 5% of the people can do to the economy in Malaysia.

I did not pre-order mine online, I request my friend who is the Maxis authorize seller to reserve Rose Gold 64GB or 128GB for me, as and when he have it.

I want to say this, people are crazy and people really don’t care about prices! I remember Malaysian government promise to reduce the electronic gadget pricing by 5%-20% (if my memory is right) and I waited for that, but the prices of smart phone was in fact increased year over year.

I paid RM1699 for the 16GB iPhone 6 (Gold) with iValue 2 plan by Maxis last year. This year the same plan, the phone was priced at RM2295. That’s an 35% price increased over last year. A 35% price increased, people!

Someone is kind enough to make a 24 months contract comparison, I wish I know who — this is good overview comparison. Telco iPhone 6s prices (PDF) Thanks to @niezam for the tip.
