There appears to the a silver edge to the button which hasn’t appeared on previous phones, but could there be more to it than that?

iPhone 5S packaging shows slight redesign to home button — Gizchina

Gizchina has the leaked photo of the upcoming iPhone 5S packaging box. There’s a hint that we might be getting a new iPhone home button.

Apple has not been using iPhone front facing product images on the packaging since iPhone 4. Perhaps this new iPhone 5S packaging with a new home button icon is to compliment the new look and feel of iOS 7. It may and may not be the real new home button we are talking about. Just a new home button icon for the new artwork.

The Apple special event is just 3 days away. We will find out soon enough.
