- I have been using a self hosted WordPress platform since 2006.
- Have been a happy user and I highly recommend WordPress to anyone who is geeky enough to spend time “caressing” it.
- This awesome CMS has registered more features by every release. So much so that I don’t even keep track. Example of this is edit post category.
- I have been modifying the category one by one like an idiot for a very – very long time.
Step One
First, filter the posts you want to bulk edit.
Navigate to “Post”, “All Post” and “Filter”.
Step Two
Now, navigate to “Edit” (carefully, away from the iceberg. You know what happen to Titanic)
Step Three
You will now be presented with “Categories [more]’, “Tag”, “Author” and et cetera; that you can manipulate to your heart’s content.

You forgot to mention the famous “if wordpress is missing some feature, most likely there is a plugin for it”, even being not optimal in performance and general architecture WP is the most plugin-extendable CMS, with huge repo of free and paid themes and plugins W3Tech stats report “WordPress is used by 54.7% of all the websites whose content management system we know. This is 17.6% of all websites.”, really impressive.
Just like “there’s an app for that” huh? hahaha
The market share for WordPress is impressive I would not have thought that WP world survive that long and remind free, without ads for that long.
I’m getting that 10th Anniversary WP T-shirt.
Like 🙂
Yes, very impressive, every 5th site is WordPress based, they can do without adds, they have wordpress.com to monetize, and some subprojects, maybe they gain money too…
