Windows 7 SP1 Finally February 22, 2011

Mark the date for new shinny update from Microsoft

Why do we update? I couldn’t find any other excuse why I should updates accept these one.

  1. Every one else is doing it
  2. Like roads users in Malaysia, whenever there’s an accident the road sure jammed! Being a proud Malaysian we should stand and stare and jammed the Internet too.
  3. Got nothing better things to do.

I’m joking 😀

I thought Microsoft took a long time to release this one. Windows 7 was release on October 22, 2009. They should consistently allowing upgrading/updating annually and create the buzz like Apple does.

and Yes! thank you Microsoft, it’s about time you make us feels rewarded. damn it! 😀

  1. Got a computer wizard friend who told me its not necessary to update as MS is treating us like guinea pigs. How True? Currently having problem with Vista as I must not update else will hang there after.

    • Vista? If got updates you better fast fast update hahahahaha

Vista is a failed products I regretted buying it. You should change to Windows 7 Home Premium at least and you will not return back to Vista. 😀

  2. for me its better to have few updates daily, than major upgrades every several months or few years.

      • this one is for my desktop PC, and compiled binary packages are installed on my laptop a bit later.. i dont update it daily, only when needed or when enough updates are accumulated (2 times per week is ok)

Home server runs Gentoo stable and with very limited software collection, only those which are needed, no GUI at all, because no keyboard and no display are attached, and therefore receive much less updates than desktop, running unstable branch
