Subscribing to 8Mbps Streamyx is fairly easy nowadays. TM have had a great team of sales people who did pretty good job delivering the products to the customer. I don’t say this lightly, I’m a salesman and I can vouch for them; at least with my many telephone calls and experience with them.
You have three ways to subscribe to 4Mbps & 8Mbps Streamyx which bundle with the HyppTV set-top box.
- Visit their road shows and you get 1 month free internet.
- Go online and register for the service from your account https://mytm.tm.com.my/ and you will also get one month free internet
- If the above failed for you, simply call 100 from your TM line and speak to the sales people. You don’t get one month free with this method.
Here’s a bonus point – if you happen to subscribe to Streamyx 4Mbps few months back (maybe last year), you should wait for TM to call you. If they call you, they will offer you to upgrade to 8Mbps with a monthly subscription for only RM150 per month. They will only call you if your area has 8Mbps supports.

In the box, TM provides pretty much everything you will need for this set-top box. Remote control with 2 AAA batteries, HDMI cable, RCA cable, Ethernet cable, and a power adapter to power up your HyppTV box.

– Two years Streamyx contract. (a big boo boo)
– The good contents are mostly on Astro.
– Internet TV might not be as reliable as satellite(Astro). (cable theft/slow internet)

Is that rm 150 price inclusive with gst.
This one is not inclusive of GST. When I got it, they did not charge me GST. I’m not sure about now.
