Touring Tua Pek Kong (大伯公) The God Statues

Touring Tua Pek Kong Kuching

Tua Pek Kong Kuching

Facing Sarawak river “Sungei Sarawak” Tua Pek Kong (大伯公 Tuā-peh-kong) in Kuching, perhaps is one of the oldest Buddhist temple in Kuching Sarawak.

The last time I posted Tua Pek Kong (大伯公 Tuā-peh-kong) some requested more pictures. The caretaker in one of these photo hates photographer.

If you’re a visitor and wishes to find out more information about this temple you can visit Chinese museum across the road. It would be interesting to see some old photos of early Chinese uses this temple for prayer.

A friend of mine Mr. Sim is working with some other peoples to declare Tua Pek Kong (大伯公 Tuā-peh-kong) in Kuching a world heritage.

    Pictures are always good!
I really like the one of the chimney where you can see the rain.

      Hello Becks! Mucks!

You have the eyes for the rains! actually that was my favorite too. Although I must admit my focus point “the subject matter” did not stand out at all. too much clutters taking up the whole space but I go with the flow anyway.

Thanks for taking your time to comment. Will add you to my jongroll 😀

Good job on avoiding the caretaker. You jongged him well, so well he doesn’t even know he’s been jongged. And your pics are awesome 🙂

      Yo Bro!

Before I left the temple I wanted to jong him face on with a portrait! I didn’t because he didn’t stand slow enough for me to take. Next time I’ll do that.

Funny this dude keep mumbling every time people takes photo. mumbling part is okay I guess he is old and yeah it’s often old people loves to mumbling but there’s one thing I think he gone over board was staring at people with his grumpy angry face. Almost like angry birds hahahaha.

I think he is still cute and I’ll surely jong him face on next time 😀
