Super Viewing Angle Screen (Sony Xperia Z Ultra)

I have got a chance to play around with the Sony Xperia Z Ultra today at the Sony Centre. If you have played with Xperia Z, you know the viewing angle was really bad. Xperia Z Ultra is different. The screen was super sharp and the content is still sharp even viewing it from side to side.

Screen Specs

  • 6.4” TRILUMINOS™ Display with X-Reality for mobile
  • Full HD 1080p
  • 342 pixels per inch

While I don’t really bother about Triluminos (Xperia Z Ultra) or Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 (Xperia Z) it is a welcome feature. Watching video and viewing photos are great as the colors seem to pop. However, it is just a software enhancement and I’m not 100% wow by it.

I would be so impressed if a real processing hardware was added to SoC.

One more thing, Xperia Z Ultra added X-Reality for mobile which I kinda like. I think this is an added feature where Sony left off on Xperia Z. On Xperia Z, Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 only works on video and picture from gallery folder. If you are viewing web contents, Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 will not work.

World largest full HD Smartphone - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Right now, this is a world largest Full HD Smartphone display. I really like the viewing angle on Xperia Z Ultra. It is also lightweight and slim build. Does the price tag of MYR2299 worth the shot? Let me know your comment down below.
