I have a chance to meet up a Sony sales distributor giving Sony Xperia Z training at a friend’s mobile shop this morning. I am excited, a little fever; this beast worth our attention!
Xperia Z is going to do well. How I know? The sales distribution guys are excited about the launching and the happy face they put on while explaining the phone’s feature and benefits. The successful launch is written all over their face.
Design
Sony is the 2nd company uses glass front and back after LG last year. (correct me if I’m wrong) The salesmen mention about the cool aluminium bend in the middle with a beautiful aluminium power button.
Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 and Exmor RS™
The salesmen seem to very excited about the ability to turn on BRAVIA Engine 2 to optimize the image viewing (it’s so smart that it allows you to see the comparison side by side). By the way, the salesmen really excited about the continuous 13.1 megapixel burst mode of ten pictures per second.
Xperia Z also has the ability to shoot HDR video. He told us this is an upgrade from the previous HD Video.
The cool thing about Xperia Z is that, you can shoot in the unlimited HDR video; say if you have 32GB of SD card, you can continuously shoot in HDR to completely fill the SD card.
He adds “You can take photos while you shot video!”

Water-resistant
Water-resistant is one of the most demoed features of the Xperia Z in YouTube. I will not be surprised because it is so easy to do and Sony guaranteed it stay under water for at least 30min.
He said to us “Wow you should see how this phone under water, can still play music!”
Thoughts
Basically there are still lots of details stuffs about Xperia Z that the salesmen did not mention. E.g. total weight, battery life (he did mention about STAMINA mode), Reality Display, 443 pixel per inch and etc… You may check out Sony website for details specs.
Xperia Z price
I am looking forward to see and hold this phone. I am interested to learn more about the purple color model, the slick tempered glass front & back, Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 and Exmor RS™.

As for the price, right now even the salesmen were just guessing. Your guess, my guess is as good as everyone guesses.
Sony latest Xperia TX and V was sort of the top line and were price at RM1599, these are dual core smartphone. Our guesses are Sony might want to price the Xperia Z a quad core smartphone somewhere RM2199 or maybe even RM1999.
