It’s love at first sight visiting Lok Kawi Wildlife Park in Kota Kinabalu Sabah. However, I was disappointed by not being able to see everything in the park because we were limited to only 2 hours by the cab driver when I was there.
As to why I am only there for 2 hours? Long story short I took the cab from the hotel that promises us to the park for RM250 and only realized Lok Kawi is such an awesome place and that 2 hours doesn’t do justice.

If you’re visiting Lok Kawi Wildlife Park in the future please do not use taxi that offer their service from a hotel. Unless you’re are fine with it other wise, please held the taxi from any where on the street and tell them you wanted to go to Lok Kawi.
RM100 being the cheapest, and these cab drivers do not mind to wait for you and they are lot more friendlier than those that servicing at the hotel.
Don’t get me wrong here, I do not mind to pay RM200 for the trip but I really mind when 2 hours is too short to appreciate the wild life at the park.

Hello Nester, I don’t recall ever seeing an angry Ostrich..but haven’t seen one in a long time- let alone a macro (this good)! So detailed and the background of green is dreamy! I get sort of stuck doing mostly stuff in my yard.. I don’t mind but I’m sure this zoo is a bit more exotic. Two hours huh? I see what you mean. Well I know we don’t have elephants on this island..sniff)) Anyway, nice job-

I have another shot of this giant bird doing his stunt with his head and some of the hair fly all over the place. Kinda cool but the flying hair just not enough for me to post it here. Maybe I should. 🙂
