Jong’s Crocodile Farm In Borneo Since 1963

Welcome To Sarawak!

Don’t miss out on Jong’s Crocodile Farm when you are in Kuching. Interested to find out how the local man ended up in the stomach of the Maneater? be sure to visit the one and only famous crocodile farm in Kuching and you will be thrilled right through your spine with our local legend, Bujang Senang!

My last visit to Jong’s Crocodile Farm was in October 2007, during my visit I took a photo of Malayan Sun bear (Helaretos Malayanus). Today’s visit is to see if ours Malayan Sun bear is doing okay and how big have he grown. Malayan Sunbear is the smallest bear in the world and they seem very lazy, remind me of the Koala Bear. I’m happy to report that the bear is doing fantastic and posing for camera beautifully.

Jong’s Crocodile Farm Controversy

Jong’s Crocodile Farm in Jun 2011 was pressured by the Anti-animal cruelty through media in demand to follow their recommendation for the crocodiles and other animals in the captive. The Hong Kong-based anti animal cruelty group believes the farm owner has violated the Sarawak Wild Life Protection Rules, 1998 and as well did not meet the license condition by controller of wildlife.

The owner was quick to response – 2 days later they relocate some of the crocodiles to the 15 new ponds.

  1. The name Jong’s got any connection to the Jongle? haha. Not really a true fan of visiting zoo or wild life park but love to watch animals over National Geographic. Oh Malayan Sunbear is the smallest bear in the world now I know hehehe tQ.

  2. thank you) photos are excellent addition to your twitcast, and you didnt spared the batteries for sunbear, so i expect its the same cub whos photos you posted 3 years ago ?

    • Yeah not enough battery to cover the bear hahaha

It’s the same bear and it’s look like they have grown 🙂 I think that’s the biggest size they can grow since it’s the smallest bear in the world.

I’m glad this two bear look much healthier and cleaner compare to the one I saw in Kota Kinabalu.
