The same question I ask myself that I wish to ask you. If you have no knowledge of a current Smartphone trend, would you be getting a Nexus 5? If you have no idea what’s Smartphone operating system; IOS, Windows or Android, would you be getting a Nexus 5? If you have no idea of how Apple cares for the details and beautiful craftsmanship, would you be getting a Nexus 5?
If I have no knowledge of these entire things, I would go for brand. I blindly buy a Nokia phone because all my friends have a Nokia. If I have no knowledge of technology, I know I would spend my money on the cheapest phone I can find on earth.
Let me cut to the chest. I am looking for an Android phone to replace my iPhone 4. Nexus 5 is the latest pure Android iteration and an upgrade to almighty Nexus 4.
I try to find reasons to buy Nexus 5 so badly that I failed miserably.
Nexus 5 is beautiful at a glance
But what the hell is this?
The micro USB port and the headphone jack is not in the middle of the device to make it look sweet and awesome. It felt out of place and that bothers me so much. Does cheap phone always compromise design taste?
I saw the similar headphone jack design with the port that was in between a back cover by Sony. It’s almost as though the back cover will never clip shut and tied if you plug your earphone in. To make the matters worse, it feels like there’s a gap or small hole between the cover and the phone’s body.
Back to my question; if only I have no knowledge of the technology advancement and never owned any Apple products I would have cared less about all this tiny little thing. I would move pass the small details and purchase the Nexus 5.
But no, I choose to be complicated. In the end, I am still looking for the best Android phone.
