Upgrading your current iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S?
These information maybe useful to you. Aside of whether you should upgrade from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S – my opinion is that you should do what’s make you happy after all life is short, why not.

Celcom
Simple answer is No Upgrade. Celcom is relatively new to the iPhone products and therefore when I contacted them for enquiry they told me they do not have an upgrade for any type of package. They told me that in certain circumstances you may change plan and they absorb the cost but not changing package. When you get a new phone you required a new package. Basically you will have to stay with your current contracts until it expired.
Maxis
The Answer is Yes. There’s a condition applied that you should not have more than 30 months in combine contract extension(old & new) in order for you to be qualify for an upgrade. Depending on your balance of contracts you may need to pay up to a thousand ringgit for an upgrade.
Digi
Yes and No. As per their previous handling procedure, existing customer who are interested to upgrade may have the chance to buy the new generation iPhone without any contract what so ever. The only down side to this is that you may not be able to get it first during the launch. According to Digi you may have to wait 3 to 4 months.
Apple products has always been about art. You will love it when you use it and you will never go back. May sounds like a marketing preach but its DNA are all over the signature of the “i” era that makes a near bankrupt Apple raise to the top – second only to the oil company.

Q6. I am existing iDiGi subscribers. Can I sign up for a new contract to enjoy the special discounts for iPhone 4S?
A6. Yes. Customers will need to pay a termination fee (RM 400) in order to migrate to the new iPhone 4S plan. However, selected iDiGi customers is allowed to have early contract renewal at DiGi Store Online before 28 February 2012.

Miera – Hi! I think you have to wait for another weeks or two before all the telco release their pricing. No one knows the pricing for now. Please check back I’ll do the price comparison when we have the pricing 🙂
Miera, the telco plans for iPhone 4S still not out yet. I believed we have to wait until it’s launching day, 16 December 2011.

Surprised that your been too formal! Celcom in a way do not have any upgrade benefit in place but that doesn’t mean customers can not register a new line with a new package + a new phone 🙂 (old one can give to Wifey! LOL)
In my opinion, there’s not much of benefit to terminate current contract pay for extra just to get the new phone. might as well buy a new phone – which – in this case Digi is smart!
