Installing New Hard Drive for Apple Macbook

My Fail attempt to Replace Apple MacBook Hard Drive – Evil Pentalobe!

It was easy until you met with the evil screw head call Pentalobe on the 4 corners of a 2.5 inches hard drive.

I love Apple products for it beautiful workmenship. Flawless. Its feels so special when you hold it and when you use it it just work all the time.

You see the compartment for the harddrive? Simple and clutterless.

The harddrive is only clipped fit with this tiny and very cute plastic clip.

Because I don’t have the pentalobe screwdriver I put back everything and wait till I found my pentalobe screwdriver I’ll replace my old 160GB to my new 500GB.

Have you seen my work station before? One of this day I’ll make my station so futuristic! On second thought I just wants it simple.

Mission Installing New Harddrive for Apple Macbook: Failed. (quietly I weep and watch Faye Wong sing)

  1. Bro! I feel sad for you big apple fan (I personally prefer banana), but I think you just wanted to show me your awesome computer desk and make me come to Kuching. Your PC is so huge, I think it needs permission from government 😛 Be careful, if they see this, hehe. Anyway, I’m sure you’ll fix your problem soon and smilingly eat your popiah. Good luck!

    • Why you need a Banana when an Apple a day keeps doctor away? LOL

So you like my PC? hehehehehe I play no games with it but use very powderful graphic just because I am a latest tech freak!

I quit buying expensive PC components ever since I had a Macbook. The PC shown on the desk is actually more expensive than my Macbook.

Ohh also there are (left and right) 4 pieces 8-ohm speaker speakers by the side. Easily blast my head off anytime of the day.

Eventually I’ll fix the screw but for the meantime I am a bit lazy to go around to look for this screwdriver.

      Cheers 😀

  2. One day was trying to dismantle the battery from my old laptop to allow it to run on direct current and found it was secured with few screws. While unscrewing them was ‘complaining’ what the heck the manufacturer was doing with so many screws simply over a battery. Guess what? Its not the battery but the hard-disk instead hehe *pai seh*.

    • Banana MKL likes you a lot! I think he will buy you as his new toy very soon hehehehe

Your very clever lo… you can not differentiate the HDD and the battery ah? hahahahaha you’re so funny hahahahha

I can not remember I was so funny with gadgets. Awesome sharing hahahaha

  3. Hmm.. I thought about installing a new hard drive for my Macbook but went with an external HD instead… I’m afraid I’d mess up and lose data.

    • Just back up your data before you do anything. in case something gone awfully wrong just use the back up copy.

  4. Hi Netster! I hope you can get your hard drive replaced. I wouldn’t know how to do it myself. Simple is better in my mind when it comes to a work station. Hope you are having a good weekend! 🙂

    • Hello Daisy *hugs*

I will make a visit to the local Apple retails to borrow the screw driver to open the screw 😀

May the force be with you! hahahahah happy weekend Daisy 😀
