iMessage Coming to OS X in Beta

You have seen it in iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and now you will see it in the future OS X 10.8 aka Mountain Lion.

Download Mountain Lion Messages Beta to have the first taste of what’s coming in OS X 10.8. I’m wondering if this iMessage would still be available for use on OS X 10.7 when 10.8 release this year.

Installing OS X Messages will say bye bye to iChat and you will start seeing all chat data stores under >Documents >iChats.

Setting OS X Mountain Lion Messages

Since this is a beta – I assume that’s the reason why sending messages to mobile phone number that supports iMessages still doesn’t work.

Jabber and iMessages set up with email (except mobile number) work like a beast! it was awesome – just saying.
