The last time I bought a Mac from Apple was like years ago. The new Mac Mini seems to be the best all round computer, but when you customize it with the specs that you really want — it’s just hard to swallow. If money is not an issue obviously this would be an easier decision.

If I am going to invest my money on a Mac Mini, I probably would go for the 6-core and a 10 Gigabit Ethernet. 256GB SSD storage should be enough for the operating system and a NAS for every other storage needs. As for the RAM — that’s the only thing you can physically open the unit and doing the upgrade yourself.

 

What I want will set me off RM 5,139.00 and what’s affordable are RM3449.00. It’s not a need right now — will keep in view in the meantime.
