iPad Mini Launched in Malaysia today, silent and no surprises.
No one stands outside Apple Premium Reseller Store in Kuching (maybe whole Malaysia) and you can hear the sounds of a coin if you happen to drop one on the floor.
I asked my friend over at the store if anyone actually queuing for iPad Mini? He told me plenty, plenty of flies flying around. (He didn’t said that) He told me no one was interested, and that iPad Mini is nothing special.
Unannounced launch of iPad Mini
Celcom did accidently released an ads on their website yesterday but taken down in split second According to @Soya_Cincau.
Obviously many of us do not know that iPad Mini was going to launch today. Has Apple forgotten to publish an official announcement? Apple doesn’t want you to speculate, fine, but what about an official press release to help the business guy?
It is nice to have a long line (photo below), makes you want to buy and people love the excitement.

Reason of unannounced? I assume the availability of an iPad Mini is really limited. @LowyatNET reports not all the resellers in west Malaysia is selling iPad Mini. Even Online Apple Store limits only to two units per person.

So quiet? No one bothers about iPad mini? LOL! So you are getting one? For me, an iPhone and a Macbook is good enough : )
I now owned iPhone 4, the MacBook and iPad 2. iPhone will be for my wife 🙂 and iPad Mini, I guess not now.
I am saving up to get new MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro to replace my 3 years old MacBook. Will see… but I guess when the baby is meeting the Daddy (me) I am guessing all this is not important any more. Will see 🙂
Ho Ho HO!
Well good luck in finding one if you decide you want to buy one, Jong. I’ve got a regular size ipad for my job at the library (bought by the library, not by me), so I don’t need a mini. I can’t keep up. There’s always something newer. haha! Have a good weekend!
Daisy!!!!!!!! Hugs hugs! It’s the first comment of the year ahahhaa 🙂 love you Daisy 🙂 How do you use your iPad Daisy? You have been reading lots of books with it?
I think it’s underpowered product, desinged to draw out the money out of you, based on the last year technology. Next iPad mini, which will come out in 5-8 months will have retina display, and I believe that ultimately it’s going to be my main device. Until than, it’s just a waste. Luckily, it’s a cheap product, so a lot of people are going to go for it.
I will not say it’s cheap, is it not *laugh* okay maybe the cheapest is RM999 (USD326) stilll that is a lot of money when you compare that to an iPad 2 which selling at only RM1199.
I am from Serbia, and for me, it’s totally affordable.
On the other hand, I have no clue what’s avarage wage in your country, nor I know the value of your money 😀 Is that going to be your first iPad?
999.00 MYR = 28,754.92 RSD
I already have iPad 2, which I won from a contest 🙂
