Have you been to CityONE Kuching lately? I’m sure you have been seeing the free movie tickets published in the newspaper and are tempted to redeem your GSC CityONE Megamall tickets. Maybe you have done so.

I didn’t take the trouble to cut the ads on newspaper to redeem for the free movie ticket. Why do you do that? I am more interested to find out what’s better and greater that will make me stay and be a royal patron.

THX Hall and 3D hall

This one will surely bring me to the cinema for summer movies. If you want to watch your favorite movie in accurate sound effect like the movie studio wants you to, go for THX certified hall. THX now belongs to Disney.

It’s great that we have extra 3D hall for moviegoer.

You can download GSC iOS app and Android app for your quick and easy way to buy the movie ticket. MBO offer membership card at RM120 and you get to beat the queue but Smartphone users prefer app to beat the queue these days.

As of my writing, GSC CityONE Megamall is not in the app list yet.

New is good

New business brings new environment and it is clean. Much like the comfort of a new toilet. MBO use to be the best, today, the place is semi dirty and the sound system, screens, lens are out of places in many of their halls.

Good Service or die

I stand a few feet away from the ticket counter, F&B counter and foyer; I notice there’s no smile. I went over and ask the stuff is they have a membership program, they couldn’t reply with a smile either. I notice the culture is the same in Mid Valley. Less smile, fast service. Some people may like it but I don’t. Period.

In Summary

We now have THX certified hall, extra 3D screen and purchase ticket with iOS or Android app in Kuching. It’s a lifestyle upgrade for Kuchingite, one word – Awesome! GSC CityONE Megamall opens 11 April 2013, see you at the movie!
