Goodbye Hello Merch

Have you had an excitement that you make a purchase without going through the T&C? How many times a day you take the trouble reading the T&C before purchasing? None.

So when did you care to read? When your order never reach you, when your email reply seem never got responded and when you think you are in trouble.

Hello Merch

I made a purchase of 1x WordPress 10th Anniversary T-Shirt – Mens SM (Silver) for $10.00 from Hello Merch website on April 25, 2013. Well I love WordPress, there’s no better way to support them by purchasing one of the cool T-Shirt.

My total order was USD10 + USD14.65 (MYR76.53) and the order was snail mailed by Hello Merch via first class International US Postal service.

I have not received the T-Shirt as of this writing.

Read the fucking T&C

  1. Hello Merch T&C here
  2. here’s the important points — Hello Merch will not be held responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during transit.

First of all, I never read the T&C and I missed two VERY important point that should have avoided my frustration. What the hell is “First Class International”? I admit I am ignorant. In Malaysia anything fancy name like that must be a great stuff like a courier service not a snail mail service. Hello Merch is not responsible for items lost, Wahlauwei! Since snail mail cannot be tracked in Malaysia, this is a sure disaster!

It could have been my deal breaker if I have read the fucking T&C. I can save the money for Audible.com or subscribe to The Loop Magazine for fucking full year.

Good buy bye

What I’m about to recommend to international customer is subjective to individual. If you have lots cash to burn, you probably don’t care. If you think I’m an idiot, you probably wouldn’t care too. If you live in the US you probably won’t have this issue.

Notes to self…

Any company applied the T&C saying will not responsible for the lost items, don’t buy from them.

  1. so 25 bucks lost…

russian post sux too, they route everything via Moscow, huge delays, stealing (i.e. you can get a pack of rice instead of an iPad) and completely lost packages

      • It was lost too? awful. I was feeling only our post is like this…now i see its global 😛

        • Oh well. Never trust snail mail! It was design for the old days. It’s outdated service now. I wonder why we still have the service, government should step in and close down the service.

          • i only ordered from local stores with pay-on-delivery option, never yet bought anything prepaid with international shipping.
            playing safe )
