This Quora post is really interesting and people who are replaying are equally informative about how careful Australia with the water. I would find it disgusting, but I think the right word for it is “careful” after all water is an essential of life. Without food we can still survive, without water we definitely parish. I have to say that I am very lucky to live in a country where we can use water to wash and rinse without much restriction. I can’t imagine I have to do what Australian do in order to save the water.
I have been to Australia many years ago and we were reminded to be more thoughtful using the water in the hotel. So, I have no idea then Australia can have a drought for months — without a rain for months is unheard of in my place.
Do you rinse your dishes? I definitely am. I read many interesting comments in the Quara comment section about the OCD part, it might be hilarious for some — I definitely find it hilarious because I too have the habit of picking up any China and check on it before I use. I smell them and proceed to rinse it with hot water one more time before I use it.
It’s bad to have this type of OCD but I’m glad I can do my rinse without feeling guilty.
