Divorcing iPhone?

If you really think that there’s no way your relationship with the iPhone going to work out because…

  • There’s no bigger screen
  • Longer screen is silly and awkward
  • Same shit but different color and now with new plastic
  • Unable to style your iPhone with Hello Kitty or Kit-Kat theme
  • The gold color is stupid

I mean really, if you have decided. Decided to become a runaway bride or groom with Android; the stolen product; there’s a guide for it.

There’s never been a better time to consider switching to Android.

I think Android is cool and I do have some love with the latest Sony Xperia Z1. If you don’t mind to live with Nearly 1,000 fraudulent apps published on Google Play in August alone, accused being Malware magnet and I think this runaway bride or groom business could be worth it.

  1. I tried the Android briefly when I had to switch from AT&T and Verizon so I could actually RECEIVE calls that didn’t then drop every couple of minutes. At that time, Verizon hadn’t yet gotten the iPhone, so I was stuck with a Droid. It wasn’t a bad phone, but I didn’t like the interface and didn’t like the software. And the lack of compatibility with the iTunes was a deal-breaker all by itself.

I like technology to adapt to me without me having to spend time adapting to it. I’ve been a Mac for 20+ years, so for me, an iPhone lets me just pick up and run with it without having to figure out where things are.

That’s the primary reason Apple is my first choice most of the time.

    • Hi Patrick!

I agree with you. I like how my iPad Mini, iPad 2, iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 work on my MacBook. Never had any headache with software and performance issue.

I do like how Android is flexible to do whatever you want but I tend to want things to work without much customisation.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S and I spend so much time customizing the look, the way I like it. I ended up never stay liking my customisation. I become busier and add more time making it to work the way “I think” I want. I even use the custom ROM to run the latest Android with it. I think the thrill of Android business for me is the endless possibility that I can learn from Android OS itself.

Android has improved so much since the first version but I would stay with iPhone or Apple product for a longer time.

  2. I have had an Android for two years and haven’t had any malware on my phone. I always say – “devices don’t get malware, people do.” As with any device/computer – including Apple products, which have also gotten malware – you must be cautious on what you install.

I like Android because it is more open – being open source and all. I can never trust a company that is a secretive as Apple. But obviously that is my opinion, and Apple has proven that my opinion isn’t shared by millions of others.

    • Hi Paul!

I don’t think you will ever get malware, you’re too savvy being infected 😀

For normal user/consumer whom perhaps not so technologically savvy — these are the malware targeted group. Perhaps the largest most targeted group would be the first time Smartphone user.

I remember the first time I use Windows, my PC are basically a virus and malware house. Being first time, our curiosity allows us to install whatever that come through the door. In this respect, I would root for iOS as a new user.

      Thanks for your comment, Paul!
