Trouble Shooting
If you follow the instructions and your telephone line is in working order, you should have no problem getting your modem to work.
Still having trouble?
- Make sure your Streamyx Account has a correct User ID & Password. Try log on to your Streamyx Account.
- Make sure your Modem DSL light is stable/ On.
- If Your DSL light is stable — light indicator on “Internet” should “blink” to establish an internet connection.
- Re-check your setting or reset your modem. Use a pin to reset your modem and repeat the setup above.
- Re-Check your DSL splitter — try swap cable around (phone line and modem line).
- If you have a spare modem (old working modem) try using it to cross check your telephone connection is in proper order.
- Pick up your phone and check the noise level (not Dial Tone). If too high you will have to call Telekom to fix it.
- Most silly mistake — forgot to plug in the telephone cable.

I try to configure it . At the 1st , it request me a correct number value of vpi and vci . Then when i can complete the configure , i cannot access the Internet because of proxy .
Hi!
I’m not sure about the proxy setting. If you have reset your modem and reconfigure, it should work right out of the box. If it doesn’t work (if you follow the above example 100% and using the same modem) your modem have got a problem.
request for a technician inspection to confirm the issue. If it still cover by warranty, i suggest you to that 🙂
Hello netster,
In Step 1, do I key in “admin” or “***@streamyx” under Username? Is the password “admin” or my own password? I don’t see a validation code on the webpage. Is that normal?
Thank you for your help!!
for router administration there are several logins
admin (default pass is: admin)
user (user)
support (support)
it is a very good idea to change all those passwords to something else than default
“***@streamyx” is likely your username for pppoe/pppoa (WAN settings)
Hi there,
I successfully set up my Dlink and it is working fine. the only problem is, whenever my phone is in used, my internet connection will be disconnected and i have to reboot the router. then only the connection is there again. Appreciate if you can suggest anything to solve this issue once and for all.
Thanks
must be issue with your splitter, make sure its properly connected and not broken. all additional phones need to be connected via microfilter/splitter too
Hi,
I am using 2750E currently
I have a problem with my connection among devices via wlan
My handphone can connect to the modem all of the timw
But my laptop has less than half of the time able to connect to the modem.
Most of the time i hv to reset both devices adaptor to get it right.
When run through diagnostics, the result showed that unable to connect to ‘hidden network’.

Hi,
Reset modem you dan buat setting di atas sekali lagi.
Kalau modem you modem lama dan mungkin kebelakangan ini ada kilat pertir, saya rasa modem you dah rosak. Call TM untuk dapatkan modem baru kalau masih ada waranti.
sy dh reset modem..dh setup internet..ttp masih tk dpt connect internet (Limited).. line tm tkda masalah…guna modem yg lain dapat connect.
my 1malysia laptop (with Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter (rev 01)
cannot connect to internet.i turn it off and restart the modem, after that can.whats wrong with my modem?
probably nothing wrong with your Modem but has something to do with your 1Malaysia laptop and WiFi adapter.
If turning off your modem and it works, I guess you have already solved the problem. 😉
Hi, Saya baru beli DSL-2750E sama mau sharing pc lain untuk internet jadi setup PPPOE, kenapa ada error 651?

Kalau PPPoE bagi problem, guna balik PPPoA.

Well, Jong, you deserved it. I always reserve compliments only to those whose
efforts should be promptly, adequately and appropriately rewarded. You
filled that role today. And guess what — somehow my connection seems
even FASTER. Go figure.
In a time of great need…in a time when the dealers are closed…in a time when all the phone calls I could make went unanswered…in a time of utter despair…this webpage of yours was my lifesaver. Indeed, as they say, when in trouble, Google is your friend but I’ll go a little better that…YOU are my friend. Thanks, Jong. Nice screen captures. Simple instructions that you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand and figure out. In the end, yeah, I could get my router going again after my wife decided to reset it.
