Hi, the best way is to call Celcom.

The new Celcom plan doesn’t allow any internet access if you exceeding data cap. I suspect you have network issue.

    Hi netster,

Thanks for sharing your experience . Ya,probably I should try to switch to Maxis provided I still have my old number. I would have expected loyal customers like some of us are given special attention if not special privileges but said to say we are not. Instead we are saddled with those additional monthly insults !!!!!

      Hi Dominic!

I am now using Maxis Wireless Broadband, and my wife is using the call and data plan from Maxis too. In Kuching, Maxis was the first to bring LTE to the market and yes we are thrilled by the service.

My wife has been using Maxis for a few years and recently she was given an exclusive one club membership. You get a special package deal with their latest phone. You get to sign up for their package without the need to pay upfront deposit and you get a cheaper phone subsidy — normal price RM999 (iPhone 5, Galaxy S4 etc…)

If you really go for Maxis, I have nothing but a good experience with them.

Some customer may tell you Maxis have got this “bill shock” tragedy, and it’s true but I’m glad they have improved their service and so far we haven’t yet had a bad experience with bill shocking episode.

      So yes, a great choice!

I have recently bought an iPhone 5 for my wife without upfront deposit from Maxis and I love it. I’m happy and my wife is happy.

      Cheers.

I hate receiving SMS messages from Celcom telling me how much my bill is,when to pay etc. Is there a need for that ? Are all customers bad debtors ? My over 20 yrs of patronage using Celcom services without ever failing to pay on time should not be subjected to receving this sort of stuff ! Please take it OFF,disgusting. If not for the tendered number, I would have switch to other service provider. It`s still not cheap to subscribe bearing in mind long outstanding customers normally receive special privileges !

      Hi Dominic!

I’m sure Celcom would be so happy to have you as their customer.

Anyway, I have given up on being royal and hopeful in getting better treatment from telco. I think that part of them has died long ago. I could be wrong but having spend the pass many years with Celcom, I have yet to be offered something awesome that will make me stay forever.

I would suggest you to try other telco. I switched to Digi few days ago. My Celcom number that I love so much was easily pot over to Digi without interruption. the best part, it is contract free!

I am happy now and in case Digi are worthless in the future, I get to jump again.

      Cheers

    Account Number : 10838043
    Tel No: 0192788191

I wish to comment on problems encountered when i bought my first blackberry 9000.

    Date Bought : 7/10/2009
I bought the unit to enable me to get connected to the group of staff within the organization. Although i bought separately CELCOM sales personnel convinced me that the system installed able to do so. From the date i bought i cant access the data plan due to some problem which i can’t recognize. I visited Selayang branch many times to rectify it. I don’t keep the tracking as i presume that celcom are keeping all the complaints.
6/11/2009 : I managed to have a written feedback from celcom Selayang. Their feedback is “wrongly installed DEVICE” I am frustrated with the services.
7/10/2010 : is the last date for the warranty
Many times i have been called by CELCOM agent asking about the payment to the outstanding balance although record shows that nothing was done to correct the situation. One of the calls I have informed that i wisht o have a WAIVER due to problems i encountered. In fact there were no feedback for quite long time.
3/10/2011: again after SMS from your dept collection centre, I have visited PJ branch and indicated to Pn Salmi, I prefer to discuss with the “Manager” to again request for waiver. My request was not entertained, and i was told that i will be contacted after that. Nothing had come although after I have given my new contact number to her.
13/12/2011 : Letter from MSM explained the situation again………when i assumed that a much curtious notification from CELCOM. with that letter i have visited again the branch at Shah Alam explaining the situation I experienced. She told me to launch the complaint through web site CELCOM.

Reason I am writing to CELCOM is to have some fair respond . Can CELCOM review and agree to the following:

    1) to waive the RM689.50 outstanding amount or any other decision that consider worth for both parties
    2) pls take note that the phone is currently out of order, and the number has been totally block for usage.
    3) I wish if the phone could be replaced

Appreciate your feedback. Kindly contact me @ 0173336123 or as my e-mail address.

Had plain croissant with butter and nescafe for tea that would last me until dinner at 7pm. So what you had for lunch or going for dinner?

    • Netster April 13, 2011 at 7:47 pm #

Wow your eating timing seem a bit different than most of the people I know hahahaha

I had my tea at 5pm and reached home about 7pm had a lite dinner.

  8. Bananazஇ April 13, 2011 at 2:10 pm #

Oops sorry! “Headache”..with recent fake eggs clouding the brain got headegg already..yes using celcom all my life since day one. Most of the time will have brunch skip lunch going for tea at 3pm not yet 3pm not hungry. Save time save money. All along the clock determines the hunger..very robotic.

  9. Bananazஇ April 13, 2011 at 10:39 am #

Why like that one headegg already..never gone online yet to check payment yet.

    • Netster April 13, 2011 at 1:43 pm #

headegg? hahaha not sure what you mean :p You seem to be using Celcom?

Another not so good about Celcom online system is that, it’s not real time. You can’t see your charges the next day or next week… you can only see them when they done account closing at the end of the month.

So what you had for lunch? 🙂

there is no postpaid option for our operators, if you reach zero – they dont let make you any calls or other services, you can activate “promised payment” (about $5) if you’re unable to pay right now but still need to make urgent calls , but there is no another postpaid option.

    • Netster April 13, 2011 at 9:21 am #

Looks like there’s no postpaid available in your part of the world. Prepaid by far makes more money for a telco company and by far the best and solid financial liquidity.

It’s all cash term and the best part is telco company get their future money before even they start rendering services to their customers.

They makes even more money when the Prepaid was not utilized and become unusable at the end of the fixed expired date.

So that’s how it is. 🙂

      • Yui April 14, 2011 at 5:22 am #

there is no expiry date for payments, however there are various options, so they still get a lot of profit, especially if some ppl like me dont understand what are bonus points for and dont use that thing. You pay for what you get, but you get that after you pay )
