Boulevard Kuching Wong Fei-Hung Theme Yangqin Performance

Boulevard Shopping Mall in Kuching

A group of young artist giving free yangqin performance to the public on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year here in Kuching.

Jackie Chan and Jet Li

When we talk about Wong Fei-Hung 黄飞鸿 we would undoubtedly thought of the god of drunken and martial arts guru in Hong Kong film history Jackie Chan & Jet Li. In fact the biggest Wong Fei-Hung identity was the movie’s theme song – for many it was like a national anthem.

Yangqin 扬琴

I love these beautiful Yangqin 扬琴 instrument, these kids are so inspiring and truly blowing my mind away by their skills. It would be a shame if no one enjoy the art of Yangqin and the talents from this group of young artists.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Actually I can try to dance and make every one dizzy 😀

  3. Nice performance and interesting instrument, are those sticks mostly same with drumsticks or they are somewhat special?

    • The stick is more like a hammer 🙂 long handle small little hammer head at the end.

I still have some more will post one by one… kinda slow on converting .mpg to .mp4 since iMovie doesn’t support .mpg format.

Happy CNY 😀 tomorrow another day of visiting and open house to visit.

      Cheers
