For the past 12 hours, I have been shifting my attention to the Bluesound Node X. Like Apple, it should be pronounced “Ten” not “X.” But it’s okay, we can still call it “X” even though the “X” refers to the company’s 10th anniversary.
I’m interested in the eARC that this unit offers. It could be a temporary fix until I buy a new AV receiver. This unit has a price tag of RM3599 and is a limited edition, so it might have a good resale value in 3 to 5 years.
Would it be a waste of money to spend 3.6K on a DAC if I already have a budget of 13K for an AV receiver? On the one hand, you really need a good DAC for stereo music listening. On the other hand, modern AV receivers have pretty good DACs these days.
