Malaysian time for the event is 1am 10th September. While the Ringgit is falling at the rate that will not permit many people to break the piggy bank to go out and spend on new Apple products (me) but still, you don’t want to miss this year’s event announcement (me).
So rumour has it that Apple TV, new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are definitely coming, we might also be seeing an iPad Pro!
I have bought an Apple TV in July, what I am hoping to see is that whatever software that Apple going to announce for Apple TV will work well and making my Apple TV feels like new. Although I am skeptical (if the rumours were right about gaming on Apple TV) I don’t think my Apple TV will run smoothly. Siri on the other hand, probably I can command it via iPhone and it will work like magic via AirPlay (Who knows). That said, I might just get the new Apple TV if it below USD150.
iPhone 6s/ 6s Plus — I have to get the Rose Gold for my wife or myself, that would be so cool! I think by the time the new iPhone 6s/6s plus available in Malaysia, it would be November/December time frame. I hope by than Ringgit is at RM3.8/USD 1.
The one big feature that I really want for the new iPhone would be the Force Touch feature found on Mac or the Taptic feedback which found on Apple Watch. In fact, you can long press some function on Safari in iOS 9 beta to display hidden menu. This my friend is no doubt in my mind are made specially of the Force Touch feature.
iPad Pro — While the rumours pointing a stylus are coming with this one, I believe the screen is probably the killer feature that will define new usability for tablet running iOS 9. Can this eventually replace a MacBook Air buyer choice? With a great keyboard and a serious multitasking capability, it may well be in the future.
It’s just crazy how excited I am for the Apple announcement today — like there’s a reward for it. I guess if you’re a fan/consumer who appreciate great design that pay attention to small details, you know why we love Apple products. (Sometime blindly, but never regrets.)
