  1. Using the iPad 3-rd gen for almost 2 months now 6-10 hrs every day. Our company is Apple business partner and operates 184 iPads. None of them have developed any WiFi issues. Remember, it takes 2 bullet proof ends to make the Wi-Fi work. Definitely the new iPad is one of those ends.

Have been using the 4G network here in Canada and it really makes big difference when comparing to the 3G performance.

No problem using the 3G micro SIMM. I’m going to KL this weekend and unfortunately I will have to go back to 3G. Change is very simple. All I have to do is disable the LTE setting when I insert the new 3G SIMM.

Can someone tell me, what 3G network has the best prepaid package value (performance and coverage) in KL, Penang and in between?

    • Hi Diver Chris — Thanks for your comment.

I can’t really advise which is the best performance in KL & Penang but I would assume all the telco would provide a good service since KL & Penang is a hot zone. I have been to KL and Penang I think I am happy with my Celcom connection but at home when I compare it to Maxis — Maxis performance win hands down.

Here’s a list of the celco for your price reference (Data/calls – prepaid or postpaid)

  2. if i buy New Ipad Wifi+4G, can use the maxis skmm prepaid or not?

  3. 4G is not ready in Malaysia even Yes 4G network will not be working on new ipad. We are still stuck at 3G network. Malaysia’s tele com is yet to improved to improve the internet speed.

  4. Oh no! The New iPad has wifi issues? Not good!
So even if Malaysia is 4G LTE ready, we still can’t use it for the New iPad??

    • Hallo Panda 🙂

Not sure if the Wi-Fi issue is a really an issue for Malaysia. We will see 🙂

If we are 4G LTE ready we surely can use lo 🙂 but it will take time for Apple and also Digi to make sure everything running in perfect order.

You will surely be able to use 4G LTE very soon — I saw the ads by Digi last night! I guess it’s not so coincident that iPad New is launching.
