Lazy Sunday Tech April 13, 2014 Heartbleed & Samsung Galaxy S5 launch in Malaysia

This whole week has been all about Internet security. I can still hear Mr. Jim Dalrymple laugh out hard on Android’s top paid app; the antivirus app that don’t really work as promise. You should listen to the #1 podcast if you love everything Apple and guitar stuffs.

I bought a new car last week you guys! I have been driving it since the 4th and I love my new beast; Toyota Vios 1.5G AT (2014).

My lazy Sunday has been productive, I have made a list of stuffs to get done tomorrow and I have been taking care my daughter along, doing laundry and well I am such a hard working daddy.

Okay, See you on my next Lazy Sunday Tech!

Heartbleed

heartbleed

Long storey short, you need to begin changing your password for all the websites you have been using, like immediately, ASAP! Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and any website that you need to key in a password to access, all of which has a potential with a Heartbleed bug.

Do you really need to change? It’s up to you really. I saw some pro comment saying that if an OpenSSL isn’t updated on the server, it doesn’t matter if you change or not change. Ha! MyCert published an official statement in regard to vulnerability that exist in OpenSSL aka Heartbleed, so this is serious guy.

A bunch of tech blog recommended 1Password for the chore of storing, managing and changing password.

I don’t have that extra money to spend, so I am going to recommend you to get FREE PasswordBox. I am a lifetime member of PasswordBox and I am a happy user. Download it today, it works on Mac, PC, iOS and Android.

Samsung Galaxy S5 starts selling on April 11, 2014 in Malaysia

You can now buy Samsung Galaxy S5 as of this writing. GS5 is to purchase with contract form Maxis, Celcom and Digi. I am on my way to do the price comparison, not finish yet but I guess you don’t have to wait. Just head over to your favorite Telco’s website and buy. Celcom onlince store was down for upgrading though.

if you’re interested in getting one without contract, I can recommend you to check out Lelong store; Paul1978. Samsung Galaxy S5 price is RM2199 from Paul.
