Celcom iPhone 5 plans first look
Celcom have just released their iPhone 5 plans moment ago.
At a first glance, Celcom iPhone 5 plans seem to beat the competition with their data plan from 4.05GB right up to 6.2GB inclusive of free 1GB Celcom First WiFi, which is a huge deal for mobile tethering. If I may add, this is so generous of Celcom.
You can owned your iPhone 5 at the cheapest rate of RM278 for 24 month contract.
24 month contract
Celcom iPhone 5 16GB cheapest RM278 highest RM1298
Celcom iPhone 5 32GB cheapest RM588 highest RM1608
Celcom iPhone 5 64GB cheapest RM898 highest RM1918
12 month contract
Celcom iPhone 5 16GB cheapest RM1148 highest RM1658
Celcom iPhone 5 32GB cheapest RM1458 highest RM1968
Celcom iPhone 5 64GB cheapest RM1768 highest RM2268
I made a call to Celcom to get extra information about iPhone 5 plan because some info’s are not so straightforward to understand. Example Free Mins/SMS/MMS, customers can choose from Prime 267, Premier 667 and Elite 1500. What those figures means for SMS and MMS? Unfortunately, the call centre employee who picks up my call did not have the answer. I was informed they were not brief about the plan and I was her first customer who enquires about the email.
Celcom letting customers know first before everyone else, I think it’s cool.
No Upfront payment?
There is no upfront payment mention by Celcom too. I am so eager about the no upfront payment other than the iPhone 5 subsidized prices. Though it is not likely and I think Celcom will probably send a follow up email.
Looking at the Celcom iPhone 5 plans, I think Celcom going to sell lot of iPhone 5 this Friday.
Update
What is the meaning of 267, 667 and 1500?
The numbers stand for the units. How do I use it?
Example: If I used 100 minutes of calls, 50 SMS and 30MMS, all I have to do is to add up all the units “100+50+30 = 180″ in this example I uses 180 units.
