I am a Harry Potter fan and I can’t believe that the movie is coming to an end. Bummer! I don’t read the books but, yes, I’m a fan!

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is showing in town and I’ve got my tickets yesterday woohooo!

2 more hours to go before the show start and I like to show you my collections DVD seem outdated, I guess I will have to save up to get a Blu-ray version of all the titles in the near future.

I love watching movies and with high-tech cinemas, watching a full length 3D is never gonna be the same again.

I pay for G-FORCE DISNEY DIGITAL 3D through MBO ticketing kiosk, absolutely convenience!

MBO charged RM19/ticket for member and RM20/ticket for non member. The price is almost equal to GSC Gold Class ticket and or 8 bowls of Laksa Sarawak/ Kolok Mee.

You will be given 3D glasses prior entering the Cineplex and you have to return it when you done using. Still keeping Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Tour 3-D glasses? Want to give it a try?

This is a non THX hall, bummer!

MBO did not equip the best silver screen to their entire 8 Cineplex. Hall 5 is uniquely large and better screen. Spaces are cozy right down to between our legs. Hall 3, 5 thumb up. Hall 6, 7 thumb down! I am yet to visit the remaining 4 halls.

Check out these 3D images (image below) from hall 5 screen. Stunning! There were few 3D movies trailer shown, namely Avatar and Cloudy with a chance of Meat Balls (what a wonderful long movie title!).

MBO provide Dolby Digital sounds system. For a change we prefer DTS and SDDS setup for some kick! I had a great time with the 3D cinematic experience, really awesome! Avatar would be my next wish list.

The Golden Compass

I have this heavy temptation for sci-fi & Fantasy movie genre. I couldn’t resist for any cartoon or CG movies either. If possible, I want to own it all in a DVD (or ermm maybe I should say HD-DVD/Blue Ray DVD). Sci-fi & Fantasy makes me wanna fly just like Peter Pan. Yes, I do not want to grow old much like Peter Pan.

There was one other thing that makes me go crazy over “The Golden Compass”, Nicole Kidman! I really, really love her! (Not like the love over Seinfeld) I just simply adore her! Hahahaha (Not that there’s anything wrong with that)
On a serious note, she’s amazing actress and I actually ask my dad to name my younger’s sister “Nicole”

The teaser trailer has seen the logo of New Line Cinema and than you saw the “Ring” is tossing down the screen and you think it’s a Trilogy or maybe “The Hobbit” is here! “Ermmm…” you’re wrong about “The Hobbit” but you are not wrong about the “Trilogy”! Just to note, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” will be releasing soon as well! What a great Christmas!

What’s so cool and so coincident about “The Golden Compass” to “LOTR/ James Bond”?

• Gandalf is now become Polar bear call “Lorek Byrnison”
• Saruman is now become “First High Councilor”
• The two Polar Bear in the movie is by two actors start with the name “Ian”
• The James Bond’s hot guy is now call “Lord” and the hot babe now can fly! Ooh Hot!

Funny! right? hehehehe

Dakota Blue

I must admit Dakota Blue Richards does bring the innocence looks, vivacious, disobedient and super adventurous to movie. Nicole Kidman on the other hand really brings the scary inner self! I really hate her Golden Monkey! Nicole simply stunning in the movie, sexy! Eva Green is just getting hotter and hotter. She does look like Julia Robert as a “Tinker Bell” in “Hook” but Julia Robert is better! Way better…

What was the curse with Christopher Lee? He was showing his face less than a minute in this movie. In LOTR, he does the same short appearance.

Nevertheless, “The Golden Compass” is truly amazing movie! Oh, Do you want to chat with Lyra? Chat with her this coming Wednesday December 19 at 6:30pm ET.

Transformer was release in Malaysia (and Singapore? Normally at the same time and date) on 28th June 2007 while US on the 3rd Jul 2007 to ride on Public Holiday on 4th of July. Malaysian Opening week is at 817, 000 of admission tickets sold (about MYR8 millions) according to UIP Malaysia.

This is US 2 days box office sold of Transformer; $65,725,939 (Fantastic 2 days opening figures, I guess the 4th of July must have boost the sales a little)

I realize that most movie in the US box office are only hovering around 300 – 350 millions (below 400 millions). In order to have a 600 millions ($600,743,440 to be exact) mark as per what Titanic had done, you need a repeat customer and longer week plays (customer demand). That’s what happens to Titanic! I personally went for 6 times!

In order to make a 400 millions mark you need fans! George Lucas has lot of fans, yes Star wars fans! I am one of them.

James Cameron

How did James Cameron (Titanic) pull the job is beyond our imagination. My personal believe is that a successful business lies in our obsession on the subject not 100% focus on money making. James Cameron obsession on underwater shooting has brought us documentary of Titanic, not just the successful movie by itself and had inspired lot of people on the ROV use and improvement on the vehicle itself for whatever reason or purposes. (ROV was originally use by the US Navy for deep-sea rescue and recovering object from ocean floor)

George Lucas is another director who brought Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) to the big screen with the box office sold at US $431,065,444. He is another successful example who obsesses with sci-fi and sounds (THX was a high tech sounds processing/ certification products and trade mark that most of us salute in our home or cinema/theater set up) able to bring more juice to the movie experience. Star wars episode 4 in 1977 (the year I was born) has made the world watching a movie in a whole new dimension.

So in my opinion, Transformer has huge fans base to double digit the box office collection. So, will transformer surpass the 400k mark? Or 600k mark?

A must watch movie!

Oh my god! The movie is mind blowing! I couldn’t imagine how Michael Bay & Steven Spielberg not doing a good job for this movie! Imagine 2 brilliant minds put into one and create something bigger than Titanic, ET, LOTR, or Pirate of the Caribbean?

I believe this movie going to surpass Titanic, LOTR box office sales and of course Harry Potter!

When the movie start every one hearts could not stop pounding faster and blood rushing through your brain like you couldn’t believe to see Transformer is actually on the silver screen! You still feel very nervous of what to expect…

Believe me when I said, every moment in the movie is like watching a car crashes and you are inside it seeing how the world of disbelieve…

You would want to go back in again to see every lines every words every meaning every details every transform! This is a definite movie of the year! (Let’s see Harry Potter 5th installment would beat this *I’m nervous too*)

I like the ideas of “what I’ve done” sound track at the end of the movie! The movie is so good that this sound track add more expression to it. Movie goers at that moment actually give the movie a round of applause when the sound track is up! I was blown all the way feeling satisfied!

(Checking at the sound track from Amazon.com, surprisingly Smashing Pumpkins has a track in the movie! I was watching E! Entertainment last month saying SP is back on the studio again!)

The best scene
• Autobots transformation
• Autobots and human interactions, emotion-connection, feels real
• the beginning the middle story telling
• Frenzy characters
• Optimus Prime has sense of humor

The not good scene
• Bumblebee want to stay with Sam Witwicky
• The end story telling feels like comic or cartoon
